We've all seen the Pinterest posts.
Perfect notes taken by college students far, far away, in the land of perfection that we call the internet. However, I have scoured the web for hours in order to try and perfect my note-taking and make them as aesthetically pleasing as possible. How am I supposed to remember the simple and finite rules of haircare if everything is in black biro?!
Not only is making your notes pretty useful for you, but fellow classmates start to envy how organised and prepared you always look, even if you have no idea what the fuck you're doing because you were too busy fixing your nails last night to revise for this boring test.

everything look so much more organised than if you just wrote bullet points. The left column is used for names of studies/theorists and sub-titles, the main column is for the notes, the bottom section is for you to write a quick summary (I tend not to use this part) and, obviously, the top part is for the main title of the unit you're studying. 4. Using multiple resources-
Okay, so, let's be honest here. Your teacher does not know everything, you might have missed something in your notes, and no single book can give you everything you need to get A*s in everything. SO. Common sense states that you should your textbook, notes and any revision websites you can find in order to make your notes the most informative and helpful that they can be. Duh.

5. Mind maps and bullet points-
Personally, I use bullet points in my notes and make mind maps as posters, but as you can see, some people prefer to go for a less structured look when it comes to their notes- that's okay, we're not all born with the gift of being able to draw straight lines without a ruler.
If you're sticking with bullet points, like moi, then use symbols instead of dots, arrows for relevant points, stars for key information etc. But if you're using a mind map, make sure you pencil it out first and give each sub-topic it's own corner/branch.

6. Organise your finished notes-
There's no point making the most gorgeous and time consuming notes and then having them end up folded in half and scattered all throughout your bag. I staple mine and then put them in a plastic pocket, I then write the title of the subject that they are for on the pocket, meaning I can keep all my notes separate.

I hope this helped <3
